Pierre Peterson est arriv\u00e9 \u00e0 NPH Ha\u00efti \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e2ge de deux ans. Aujourd\u2019hui, il est ing\u00e9nieur en informatique et responsable de projets au sein du programme de NPH destin\u00e9 aux personnes en situation de handicap. Son histoire montre jusqu\u2019o\u00f9 peut aller l\u2019impact d\u2019une chance offerte \u00e0 un enfant.<\/p>\n \n\n \n

\n \u00ab Mon histoire n\u2019est pas un conte de f\u00e9es que l\u2019on raconte aux enfants avant de dormir. Si c\u2019\u00e9tait le cas, elle leur ferait probablement peur. Mon histoire est une r\u00e9alit\u00e9. \u00bb\n <\/blockquote>\n\n

\n C\u2019est avec ces mots que Pierre Peterson a racont\u00e9 son histoire lors d\u2019un \u00e9v\u00e9nement solidaire organis\u00e9 par NPH Espagne \u00e0 Barcelone en juin 2026. Ce fut un moment particulier : pour la premi\u00e8re fois de sa vie, il quittait Ha\u00efti et prenait l\u2019avion.\n <\/p>\n\n

\n Mais Pierre n\u2019\u00e9tait pas seulement venu pour raconter sa propre histoire. Il voulait montrer ce qui devient possible lorsqu\u2019un enfant a acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9ducation, aux soins de sant\u00e9 et \u00e0 un environnement o\u00f9 l\u2019on croit en son potentiel.\n <\/p>\n\n

\n Une enfance qui prend une nouvelle direction\n <\/h2>\n\n

\n Pierre est n\u00e9 \u00e0 Cit\u00e9 Soleil, \u00e0 Port-au-Prince, au sein d\u2019une famille tr\u00e8s nombreuse. Sa famille disposait de peu de moyens et, parfois, il n\u2019y avait pas assez \u00e0 manger.\n <\/p>\n\n

\n \u00ab Nous savons ce que signifie se r\u00e9veiller le matin sans savoir si nous aurons quelque chose \u00e0 manger ce jour-l\u00e0. \u00bb\n <\/blockquote>\n\n

\n \u00c0 l\u2019\u00e2ge de deux ans, Pierre est accueilli par NPH Ha\u00efti. Il y trouve un environnement stable, mais aussi une famille au sens le plus large du terme.\n <\/p>\n\n

\n \u00ab J\u2019ai appris l\u2019amour des autres, la solidarit\u00e9, le respect et l\u2019importance de s\u2019entraider. Nous venions d\u2019endroits diff\u00e9rents et, ensemble, nous sommes devenus une grande famille. \u00bb\n <\/blockquote>\n\n
\n \"Pierre\n <\/figure>\n\n

\n Pierre a pu aller \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cole, poursuivre ses \u00e9tudes et finalement obtenir un dipl\u00f4me d\u2019ing\u00e9nieur en informatique. Il est aujourd\u2019hui le seul membre de sa famille \u00e0 avoir eu la chance d\u2019\u00e9tudier \u00e0 l\u2019universit\u00e9.\n <\/p>\n\n

\n \u00ab Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 la g\u00e9n\u00e9rosit\u00e9 des donateurs, j\u2019ai pu faire des \u00e9tudes universitaires. Ma vie a compl\u00e8tement chang\u00e9. \u00bb\n <\/blockquote>\n\n

\n Pierre d\u00e9cide rapidement de partager \u00e0 son tour cette chance avec les autres. Lorsqu\u2019il retourne aupr\u00e8s de sa famille biologique, il aide notamment ses jeunes fr\u00e8res et s\u0153urs \u00e0 avancer et \u00e0 poursuivre leurs propres r\u00eaves.\n <\/p>\n\n

\n D\u2019un enfant soutenu \u00e0 un adulte qui soutient les autres\n <\/h2>\n\n

\n Aujourd\u2019hui, Pierre travaille pour NPH Ha\u00efti en tant que responsable de projets au sein du programme destin\u00e9 aux personnes en situation de handicap.\n <\/p>\n\n \n

Il accompagne des enfants, des jeunes et des adultes qui b\u00e9n\u00e9ficient notamment de soins sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9s, de r\u00e9\u00e9ducation, d\u2019un acc\u00e8s \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9ducation et d\u2019un accompagnement adapt\u00e9 \u00e0 leurs besoins.<\/p>\n \n\n \n

\u00ab Ce qui me motive le plus, c\u2019est l\u2019amour que je re\u00e7ois des enfants en situation de handicap. Ils ont \u00e9norm\u00e9ment d\u2019amour \u00e0 donner. \u00bb<\/blockquote>\n \n\n \n

Son histoire a \u00e9galement pris une dimension tr\u00e8s personnelle avec Djoulie. La petite fille avait deux ans, souffrait de malnutrition chronique et pr\u00e9sentait un handicap physique lorsque sa m\u00e8re, la tante de Pierre, lui a demand\u00e9 avant son d\u00e9c\u00e8s de prendre soin de sa fille.<\/p>\n \n\n \n

\n \u00ab Tout comme NPH m\u2019a aid\u00e9 \u00e0 devenir l\u2019homme que je suis aujourd\u2019hui, je me suis dit que je pouvais faire la m\u00eame chose pour elle. \u00bb\n <\/blockquote>\n\n

\n Aujourd\u2019hui, Djoulie a six ans et va \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9cole. Pierre souhaite lui transmettre les valeurs qu\u2019il a lui-m\u00eame re\u00e7ues : la solidarit\u00e9, le respect, le sens des responsabilit\u00e9s et l\u2019attention port\u00e9e aux autres.\n <\/p>\n\n

\n Ce que Pierre a re\u00e7u lorsqu\u2019il \u00e9tait enfant ne s\u2019arr\u00eate donc pas \u00e0 lui. Aujourd\u2019hui, il le transmet \u00e0 son tour.\n <\/p>\n <\/div>\n\n

\n Continuer \u00e0 croire en l\u2019avenir d\u2019Ha\u00efti\n <\/h2>\n\n

\n Malgr\u00e9 la situation difficile que traverse Ha\u00efti aujourd\u2019hui, Pierre ne veut pas que son pays soit uniquement d\u00e9fini par les crises auxquelles il est confront\u00e9.\n <\/p>\n\n

\n \u00ab Malgr\u00e9 l\u2019obscurit\u00e9 et la crise que traverse notre pays, il y a toujours de l\u2019espoir. Cet espoir commence par nous. Nous sommes l\u2019espoir d\u2019Ha\u00efti. \u00bb\n <\/blockquote>\n\n

\n Son propre parcours en est un bel exemple.\n <\/p>\n\n
